Even after passing the BETA phase, SharePoint seems to have few bugs around. Today I noticed repetition of list items in one of the lists when I tried to edit the list in data sheet view.
I have a list called ‘projects’ with list of all projects for the client I work. It looks like
When I wanted to edit this list using “Edit in Datasheet”, I get repetitions as shown in the figure below. Has anyone ever faced something like this? If you know what’s causing this, please feel free to share it with me. If I know the answer I will post it in here.
If it is an issues list with a filter, you may have selected show items in the filter, which would include “Version History” items as well as the latest version. That might be one reason for seeing multiple entries.

This happened a lon back. I reckon, I never had versioning enabled on this list or had any filters set in the view. Anyway thanks for your suggestion mate.

Hi,
I converted a List view to an XSLT data view in SP Designer and lost “Edit in Datasheet” from the Actions bar.
Do you know how I can resolve this issue?
