Want to write quality Code?

Filed under: .Net, Microsoft, Programming — Jag @ 6:30 am

Hey, if you are reading this, I can understand how hard your inner instincts are craving to write quality code!! Developer never wants to write crappy code. He either doesn’t no how to code or not aware of good coding practices. MSFT is trying to cleanse all the .Net developers, by putting in some guidelines on how to write quality and secure code. Also there is nice material on ’How to conduct quality code reviews?’. Managers are you listening to this? Below is the link for series of articles by MSFT. Note this material is targeted for Orcas developers, but it should make sense (at least little) for VS 2005 developers. Isn’t it?

Introduced to K2.NET

Filed under: .Net, SharePoint 2007, workflow — Jag @ 6:35 am

Today, I sat through K2 presentation by Jey from K2 Australia. I am very much impressed with the K2 feature set and how it compliments SharePoint. My favourite part of the feature is where, you can trigger a WF based on the events in SharePoint lists and document libraries. Also yet another cool thingy about K2 is, it seamlessly integrates with Office Applications especially InfoPath. I got one of my team member building a K2 Image and it should be ready very soon. I am craving to play with more of K2 wizards and get the first hand feel of the product. The product is definetely worth a try. Along with SharePoint, it is ought to change the way businesses work!
