Testing SharePoint Sites across different IE Browsers

Filed under: SharePoint — Tags: , , — Jag @ 5:07 pm

Its pivotal for SharePoint Intranet/Internet sites to render perfectly on atleast Internet Explorer. But with different versions of IE in use, we find it hard to design the sites to render on different versions. I always find myself testing the design on different versions installed on separate machines.

I recently came across IETester which make testing browser requirements much easier. According to their site;

IETester is a free WebBrowser that allows you to have the rendering and javascript engines of IE8 beta 1, IE7 IE 6 and IE5.5 on Vista and XP, as well as the installed IE in the same process.

Please be aware that IETester is still in alpha stage and expect many bug fixes and feature enhancements and additions.
